Midnight is almost here. A new expansion, new zones, new adventures. It should be a time of pure excitement.

At the same time, it still looks like Pet Battles are being phased out, with no new content planned going forward. That is a tough moment for our community.

If Pet Battles have meant something to you, please take a minute to read and support this message.
Leave a comment. Spread the word. Help us raise our voice. Every bit of support matters.

To celebrate Midnight nevertheless and thank you for standing with us, we are giving away 1x Midnight Epic Edition key.

How to enter:
Simply leave a comment on this news post and tell us one thing you will do first when Midnight launches. A zone to explore, a goal to chase, or even one last pet battle you want to play.

Deadline:
You have 7 days to enter. One winner will be chosen at random and announced here on March 1st, right on time before launch.

Let’s welcome Midnight together, while showing that the Pet Battle community is still here and alive!

I have to level quicker so I can start raids with my guild with more than minimal gear lol. I'm always a slow leveler for some reason.

Thanks for the giveaway! Probably some relaxed campaigning/leveling and then going all-in on Tier 3 delves to see how far I can get Valeera before she's getting annoying (you better avoid having the AFK flag in delves ;-)

Blizz is going to change their mind, they really will. In the meantime, I'll keep going with my Family Battling, which is going to keep me busy while everyone throws themselves at the new content lag wall. Then professions, which hopefully will draw me in as they used to. (edited)

As much as I haven't been wanting to do anything other then gathering pets for a few months now. I think I might go back to more traditional wow activities at least at the start of the expansion. I will be hitting professions hard early on, to try to get in some early gold making. But I have a feeling I will not be able to fully leave the pet bug behind and will be grabbing everyone I pass along the way.

The first thing I will do is to just look around, feel the vibe, make some coffee, and just enjoy all the new stuff. I sure hope pet battling will not be removed, and I would vote for it to be developed further - a new dungeon would be awesome.

Well the first thing is to do every quest on the map so I don't have to see those little ! icons all over the place. Especially in the main city, which will no doubt be cluttered with icon soup.

One thing I plan on doing is getting the new pet battling achievements for Northrend, Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Will still be collecting and battling! Got to show people still enjoy this content.

when the servers get done being borked, im going to take my main through silvermoon, open the allied race, race change to haranir, pick all the flowers, mine all the nodes, chop all the lumber and then goblin like mad on my alt army. No pet content to get excited about so ill just go make all the things and level my alts until season starts and i have to go fling flowers at people standing in crap alla damn time :P And btw Aranesh, A MILLION THANKS for the years and years of most excellent content. Please don't go anywhere (and throw Dragonsafterdark some velcro so she sticks around too!), Im going to live in hope that Blizz comes to their senses and doesn't just write this amazing community off. Whatever the future holds, much love to everyone who makes this community special <3

As I've gotten older over the last 17 years, I never do regular raids or dungeons anymore. On the first day, I will take my main and start slowly leveling as I read every quest and immerse myself in the lore. Really sad about pet battles as I usually search out the new battle pets to capture. Clicking on one to just have is not something I will be doing.

I've been putting off finding out just how much they've cut from pet battles. So it will be the first thing I look into. Will be hopefully expanding my pet collection asap. Thank you xu-fu :)

Fishing! I'll also level 3 characters in the first couple weeks, hopefully.

Battle Pets will probably sadly take a backseat for 3-4 weeks, but I've been deep in catching up on achievements the past month.

Will probably loose my first day cleaning UI and emptying bags & bank, and once questing, I may get quickly lost following mining nodes and fishing pools.
Also can't wait to build a house and see my pets and mounts roaming everywhere... :D

I'm going to wait to clear my bags until the expansion launches. A time-honored tradition. Also, I think it's going to be very sad to see no pet content. I usually do wild pet captures as I level.

Ambivalent about the battle system going away. I love the chase for a rare wild pet, but I also still have so many world battles incomplete because I haven't leveled or caught the right pets yet.
