Update July 17th: Now the bug is actually gone and things should be back to normal. Deactivating the disclaimer again :)

Update July 8th: Apparently, the bug is still around. Sorry for the wrong information. Some work seems to have been done but it's clearly not solved, yet.

Update July 7th: It seems this bug was fixed :) If you still encounter any problems that might be related, let us know in a comment please!

Heads up: a quite nasty bug made it over from the PTR into the live game.
If your pet is faster than your opponent and you pass a turn, the enemy will pass as well.

There's also problems with pet swapping and stuns/interrupts that can cause similar effects. Most of them seem to be depending on the speed of pets.

This is definitely not intended as it breaks a lot of fight mechanics and can be exploited heavily. It also means many strategies on Xu-Fu's will not work correctly anymore.
If you can spare the time, please report the bug ingame. The more reports it receives, the more likely it will be fixed sooner! Thank you!

To all strategy creators: Please don't change your strategies to adapt to this. It will likely (hopefully) be fixed soon.

it appears the turn skip bug has been fixed. i am fighting Amalia and i dont have to manually pass any rounds

Caregiver Maximilian is example of crap, strat with all santa helpers worked perfect, now when boncrusher comes in he counter attack, and he did not in a past. So was it bad then or is it now.

i also have a problem where not only does it not show me as owning the Guild Herald, the GH is not even showing up anymore as "available" in the pet list...

I have the same problem! I made a ticket for it ingame. No solution yet, but they admitted that I do have the Guild Herald and the Guild Page

Would also work flawlessly in PvP as long as you have a high speed pet with the Dodge ability (or equivalent). Turn 1: Dodge. Turn 2: Attack. Skip until Dodge becomes available. Repeat until win. It'd be super abusive, should likely be punished if people do it, but I've seen it happen multiple times already. (Also tested it out to verify that it worked, and then forfeited the battle)

Actually you can counter anyone who is using dodge etc by using a speed buff ability like Adrenaline Rush. Always first abilities also mess with exploiters because if they don't go first they can't control the game.

Actually NOT fully fixed on EU realms, still. For example, the Whispering Pandaren Spirit fight will still happily auto-skip you making the fight a complete nightmare

(Turn 1: 25% chance of falling asleep, turn 2: coccoon strike meaning you miss 1-2 turns depending on if you fell asleep), turn 3 moth balls, turn 4 Dusty has no moves and you get auto skipped, and then the cycle repeats and it's time to see if you get 25% sleep hit again...) （已編輯）

Update - no longer getting the auto-skip on Whispering this morning that I got late last night, so possibly they've hot fixed it, possibly it's glitchy.

Buuut... PvP pet battles still definitely broken. Just queued into someone with an imp who put up immolation aura, used portal, then passed until portal was available again, etc...

fixed now atleast on EU realms. Wasnt fixed earlier but just tried a 2 WQs and when u pass it works properly and switch pets etc （已編輯）

I think they jiggered with the pet battle algorithm and that's when they broke battleing. I recommend exploiting the bug to the fullest, it's the only way they'll fix it.

The turn skipping seems to specifically relate to swapping with a faster pet for me right now. A few others have mentioned that it is fixed for them so possibly intermittent and random now?

It's not fixed. Rounds still end instantly when the faster side passes or swaps.

Assuming its the same bug, its also causes problems when your 2nd pet uses Explode to kill their 3rd pet (to get xp for a lower level pet in your 3rd slot who never directly swaps in) like the strat I use for the Tundering Pandaren Spirit. Fight would end but quest wouldn't complete, as if it was a draw, even though I still had a 3rd pet at full health.

Yesterday I saw an issue where during Lift-Off, when friendly pet is in the air, the enemy pet has been able to hit it. (Was working on Varenne in Suramar). Has anyone else encountered this as well?

There also seems to be a bug with puppies of the flame where one attack triggers all three turns of the skill to active instantly

Also if the enemy pet has all their abilities on cooldown, rather than getting a turn by yourself, the enemy will go ahead as if their ability wasn't on cooldown. Breaks stats for Kelpstone in Nazjatar. :(

Most of the Argus pet strategies don't work at the moment either. Frustrating as I was just going through them the day before. :<

There's also the bug where Switch Pet is always highlighted when you take your turn. Why have these issues suddenly appeared in a part of the game they have not touched in 9.1, or did I miss something ?

Has anyone else noticed a lot of AI controlled pets surviving with only 1-10 hits? Variable damage seems to almost always lean toward the minimum if any more will result in player victory?

Also, pet switching doesn't cost a round, at least for the AI. Replacing a dead pet sometimes costs a round. Stun is kind of iffy.

The bug affects both sides, so if the enemy is faster and they swap, it's the player who is unable to act that round, and the battlefield goes fast forward (similar to when a multi-round spell is used or your sole pet is stunned). And a stunned/forced to sleep AI pet is always prompted to swap or has to pass, thus you should always use a faster pet to do it – even without the glitch ;-) （已編輯）

I use a nice slow p/p dragon with Ashleigh (sic) and just tail whip the faerie dragon, and doodle to pieces.

Saw this happen to my detriment against Jammer. Apparently he passes in Round 3... which made my Supercharged buff wear off without me having a chance to follow up on it.
